A confectionery of figs, mint and vodka with roasted cocoa beans
Groceries
700 grams of ripe figs
3-4 cups sugar
10 chopped mint leaves
A cup of cacao nibs (available in stores specializing in baking)
A glass of vodka and a little more for dipping the baking paper
4 jars of sterilized jam (soaked for 5 minutes in boiling water)
4 circles of parchment paper with the largest diameter in the few jar openings
Preparation
Cut the figs into cubes. In a saucepan with a thick bottom, cook them on a low flame until they excrete the liquids.
Add the sugar, mint leaves and cocoa and continue cooking on a low flame until you get a thick concoction — about 30 minutes. To check if the confectionery is ready, pour one tablespoon of the liquid on a plate — the consistency should be like that of jam. If the pharmacy is not thick enough, continue cooking.
When the confectionery is ready, add the vodka to it and cook for another 3 minutes.
Transfer the confectionery to the sterilized jars. Before closing them, dip the circles of baking paper in vodka and place them on the openings of the jars.
